Caution Tape Dress
I made this dress completely out of recycled materials and found objects from around my neighbourhood.
I built the base of the dress out of cardboard. I made a corset top and a cardboard skirt so that I could build on top of it. The skirt is made out of old blue tarps that I cut into petal shapes and stapled to the base. Finally, thanks to all of the closures due to the COVID crisis, all the playgrounds near my house were wrapped with caution tape and danger tape. I collected the yellow caution tape to add accents to the skirt and make the top.
Danger Tape Dress
I made this dress completely out of recycled materials and found objects from around my neighbourhood.
I built the base of the dress out of cardboard. I made a corset top and a cardboard skirt so that I could build on top of it. Then I used black and clear garbage bags to make the skirt. I also used some plastic drop cloth to add pattern and colour into the base of the skirt. Finally, thanks to all of the closures due to the COVID crisis, all the playgrounds near my house were wrapped with caution tape and danger tape. I collected the red danger tape to add accents to the skirt and make the top.
